Reusable Autoclavable Petri Dishes, 90mm, Pack of 20 (Microppose)

We (obviously) love Microppose products, and a reusable, affordable petri dish is right in line with our ethos of “mycology for everyone”. You haven’t got to spend a fortune if you don’t want to, you can still get results (and they’re a bit better for the planet than the alternatives).
Made from high temp polypropylene which means you can just give them a wash after use, and then get them hot in your pressure cooker or autoclave - they’ll then be sterile and good to use again and again.
After use, clean them gently with a soft sponge so that you don’t scratch them, or put them into the top tray of your dishwasher, up to you, whatever’s easiest.
To re-sterilise them, put them into an autoclave or small mushroom grain bag (don’t seal the bag please), get it into the pressure cooker or autoclave at 15psi for 15 minutes, and then you are hot to trot, mister. Over time there will be some minor warping and clarity loss, but that's the way the reusable stuff goes.
What’s it all about?
- Reusable so you don’t have to chuck it away if you treat it right
- High-clarity polypropylene
- Already sterilised so you can get straight on to the fun bit
- More eco-friendly than single-use stuff, less pricey than glass
- Whack it in the top bit of the dishwasher to clean it
- Don’t forget to sterilise it afterwards though!
- Same size as normal petri dishes so will fit your petri dish launcher
- CE Mark
We also now stock dull scalpel blades for working with these (or any) plates to extend their life.
Everything Mycopunks is awesome…
Now we’re saving the planet one Petri dish at a time 🙌🏼
Just what I wanted and delivered quick, cheers 👍
Top quality
Very happy with these, will buy more. I’ve used glass for a long time, I just find the plastic ones better, the lid is easier to open one handed. Nice quality, great they are pre-sterilised. Thanks A+
They work very well. Tip for sterilising pop them in a small grow bag. Auto clave. Remove. Then peel it like a banana behind the hood
Got them in good time, good quality.
