When you’re starting off learning how to grow mushrooms, it can be fucking confusing, to say the least. We’ve got about a million types of grain, substrate, agar - you name it, we’ve got it, but if you’re new to the hobby, which one do you pick? This kit!

We remember getting frustrated at the same thing, there’s just so much information out there, and yeah, of course you’ll be doing loads of reading about your new hobby, but while you’re doing that you also wanna be getting involved and growing some mushrooms. This way, you can have both.

We designed this kit to guide you through some of the fundamentals of mycology whilst being simple as heck. There’s no reinventing the wheel here, there’s no super-secret additions or techniques, it’s basically Mycology 101: “I would like some mushrooms please my guy”.

In our field tests we’ve routinely had 3-700g flushes using this kit, which should get you anywhere between 1-3.5oz of delicious dried mushrooms. Not too shabby! We’ve used simple but high-quality growing ingredients formulated to give you the best chance of success whilst minimising contamination risks.

What’s in the kit?

• 1kg sterile grain of your choice (this is for your grain spawn)
• 2kg sterile CVG (this is your substrate)

Please don’t use this kit to grow magic mushrooms. Magic mushrooms (of which Psilocybe Cubensis seem to be the most popular) or “shrooms” are not legal in most countries and you could face actual consequences if you don’t live in a country where it’s legal to grow magic mushrooms, such as Jamaica or Brazil. We don’t condone any kind of shenanigans - we might not agree with the law, but they didn’t ask us what we thought when they made it so I don’t think they’ll care about our opinion now.

Storage:

• Use the grain as soon as possible but it can last 6 weeks
• Use the substrate within 6 months, but again, sooner is better
• Store the gloves wherever you like, they are gloves
• Store the stickers somewhere rad and take a picture of them and tag us on insta (@MycoPunks)
