14A Unicorn Bag for Mushroom Substrate

When I was a young man I never, not for one second, thought I’d be sitting down at a computer writing about bags you keep clean dirt in so that you can grow mushrooms for fun and frolics. Never crossed my mind. Still, I’ll bet you never thought you’d end up reading about it either so hey, what a mad ride it’s been for the both of us. 

Unicorn Bags. This firm has been making bags specifically for mushroom cultivation since 1990, back when music was still good. There ain’t a goddamn thing these guys don’t know about making durable well-suited bags for all your mushroom growing needs. I was going to write that they eat, sleep, and breathe bags but I wouldn’t want anyone to try breathing in a plastic bag in case they died, so what I will say is that this company is very committed to making sure mushroom growers have access to the right kit. 

This particular model is for keeping your substrate in so you can add your colonised grain spawn to it. You could fruit in it too once the sub’s been fully colonised if you’re growing some oysters or other side-fruiting mushrooms. I suppose you could even use it for the top-fruiters if you put a bit less substrate in or bought a little tent for the top, if you like. You could buy them direct from Unicorn Bags as well, but you’d have to buy a thousand or so, then ship them over from Texas which would be expensive and take ages, or you could just buy a few from us. Up to you!
