Microppose Medium Mushroom Monotub (Mark 1)

It’s still the Microppose Mark 1 Monotub, it’s just a bit bigger. Small one’s over here if this is too big.

Same awesome build quality, it’s made of high-density polypropylene so is proper sturdy. Apparently the clips are also unbreakable (that’s what Microppose say) which is a pretty hefty claim but why not, let’s go with it. We trust them.

Yes, you could absolutely make your own monotub, but you’ve got to find a suitable box, then it’ll need some drilling/burning if you want to have any airholes, then you’ve got to measure everything and make sure it’ll fit properly, and it is a bit of a hassle. It’s not the end of the world if you’ve got a bit of spare time on your hands, but if that’s the case then this product probably isn’t for you. This is for someone who wants something that comes out of the box, ready to start growing mushrooms. Everything fits together perfectly because that’s what it’s been designed to do, the filters, the plugs, the liner, it’s all purpose built.. There’s a nice satisfying “snap” noise from the clips when you put them on because they’ve put the effort into making this a quality bit of kit.

Like the smaller box, these are stackable and will handle over 90kg on top of them, so you could stack these up to the ceiling and grow all of the mushrooms in the entire world at once if you so desired. It’s good to have goals.

A bigger tub means way more surface area (thanks, maths!): these are 18” L x 15” W x 12 H - the smaller tub has 144” of surface area, this one has 270” - heaps more space for you to grow mushrooms. Still the same height though so it’s easy to fit on a wire shelf.
