    What are MycoPoints?

    Description

    The foundation of all culture plates.

    Agar is used to make culture plates (dishes). When mixed with nutrients it cools to form a jelly-like medium on which mushroom mycelium can grow so you'll need some of this stuff if you want to create culture plates.

    Use 15-20 grams of agar per 1000ml of water.

    How strong is yours agar powder?

    Hi Irena,

    Agar powder doesn't have a strength, it is just the gelling agent used. You use more of it for a stiffer gel..

    15-20g produces a stiff enough gel to use for petri dishes.
