Liquid Culture Lids

This is the lid all other lids want to be when they grow up. Pinocchio himself would see this lid and say “yo to hell with being a real boy, I wanna turn into that lid”. 

What is it about this lid that turns all the mushroom-loving heads in the lid world? It’s the details. 

Get your liquid culture solution ready, screw this lid on, get a stirrer bar in there, and autoclave/pressure cook it. After that, introduce your genetics (if you’re gonna unscrew the lid at this point please do it in front of a flow unit). Give it a bit of time to get going, and then when you want to draw some of your now-amazing LC up, you can just screw the empty syringe into the luer lock fitting, and voila! No more wasting needles, no more mucking around trying to flame sterilise a needle, way less risk of contamination, and virtually zero chance of any contaminants falling into your nice clean LC. 

Once you’ve used everything up, give it a quick wipe down, then it’s back into the Hot Zone with your new liquid culture solution and you’re good to go again.
